The Strong's Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible lists the following for "Filthy Rags" as found in Isaiah 64.6. I have taught this before and received shocking amounts of backbiting and allegations of teaching false doctrine by many self-righteous and carnal Christians. As such, I merely give you these references as outlined by Strong's:
FILTHY, Strong's reference #5708: 'ed, ayd, from an unused root meaning to set a period [comp. 5710, 5749]; the menstrual flux (as periodical); by impl. (in plur.) soiling: - filthy.
RAGS, Strong's reference #899: beged, behg'-ed; from 898; a covering, i.e. clothing; also treachery or pillage: - apparel, cloth, garment, lap, rag, raiment, robe, X very [treacherously], vesture, wardrobe.
The scholarly work Gesenius' Hebrew- Chaldean Lexicon to the Old Testament, keyed to the Strong's reference #5708, says of the Hebrew 'ed "an appointed time, especially the monthly courses of women. Isa. 64:6, a menstrous cloth."
Numerous elderly women and one self-proclaimed preacher denounced my exposition of Isaiah 64.6 as sacraligious, blasphemous, and false doctrine. Therefore I will not expound this verse in detail, though I did want you to note how filthy God thinks our human works are. Any further exposition you can make yourself by looking at the evidence I have presented above.
