Job: Eliphaz's Instructions to Job, 5.19-27
Doctrines of War, Sanctification, Dying Grace
INTRODUCTION
TO THIS STUDY
The purpose of this work is to guide you in Spirit Filled
interpretation of this "Selected Study". As necessary we will provide outlines,
historical backgrounds, note the purpose and focus of the text, and also
provide the original hebrew language definitions for the key words in the
highlighted text. The English translation used is the King James (Authorized)
Version, not because it is the best translation available, but because
I just plain prefer it for study!
All Scripture text will be presented in normal cased lettering,
and all notes within the text will be in TRUE
TYPE FONT, as shown. This (I hope)
will allow you to avoid confusion between God's Word and my notes. As I
update this website, I will continue to embellish the text so that anyone
using NETSCAPE 3.0 or MICROSOFT 3.0 will be able to read the document easier.
If you discover obvious errors (as I am human, and do
make mistakes), please let me know. Do not contact me to argue about
the doctrinal differences that you may have with my teaching. I do not
argue Theology with anyone, so all Legalists, cultists, and others with
extremist views, please save your (and my) time. If you want to discuss
your doctrinal differences, or share a viewpoint, please contact me at
Didaskalos Ministries. I
am not so arrogant as to think I know it all, or even 1% of what the scripture
teaches.

AND STAY.A REFERENCE TO HEAVEN) thy

SANCTIFICATION)
Doctrine of Sanctification
-
Sanctification (Hagios in the
New Testament Greek) means to be "set apart for God's use". Whenever you
find the words "holy, sanctify, saint, or sanctification" in your Bible,
these words are usually always from this same Greek root.
-
Three types of sanctification
are recognized in scripture:
-
When we were saved we were all
entered into union with Christ. Because we accepted what He did for us,
God the Father identifies us with His death, burial, and ressurection.
This is called Positional Sanctification: 1 Cor 1.2, 30; 6.11; 10.10; Heb
10.10
-
As believers in union with Christ
we grow daily to be more like Him through the power of the Holy Spirit.
This is called Progressive Sanctification: 2 Thes 2.13; John 17.17
-
When we pass from this life and
into Heaven all sin is eradicated from us. This is called Ultimate Sanctification:
1 Thes 5.23; 1 Cor 1.8; 1 John 3.1-2; Phil 3.21; Rom 8.29
-
The Divine Agents of sanctification:
-
The Agent of Positional Sanctification
is Jesus Christ: Heb 10.10-14
-
The Agents of Progressive Sanctification
are both the Holy Spirit and the Holy Bible: Rom 15.16; 2 Thes 2.13; 1
Pet 2.1; John 17.17; Eph 5.26
-
The Agent of Ultimate Sanctification
is God the Father
Jb:5:25:
Thou shalt know (JADA, KAL PERFECT
= CONTINUALLY PERCEIVE) also that thy seed shall be great, and thine
offspring as the grass of the earth. (YOU SHALL HAVE
INNER PEACE KNOWING THAT GOD WILL TAKE CARE OR YOUR LOVED ONES WHEN YOU
ARE GONE)
Jb:5:26:
Thou shalt come (JADA, KAL IMPERFECT
= FINALLY COME) to thy grave in a full age, (NOT
NECESSARILY AN OLD AGE, BUT AT THE RIGHT TIME AS DETERMINED BY GOD)
like as a shock of corn cometh in in his season.
