The following Scriptures discuss the fall of Satan from
Heaven. Though not exegeted (yet), I thought I'd share them with you.

Isaiah 14.4-20
Judgment Against Babylon
(Paralleled To Satan's Fall)
"That thou shalt take up this proverb against the king of Babylon,
and say, How hath the oppressor ceased! the golden city ceased! The
Lord hath broken the staff of the wicked, and the sceptre of the rulers.
He who smote the people in wrath with a continual stroke, he that ruled
the nations in anger, is persecuted, and none hindereth. The whole earth
is at rest, and is quiet: they break forth into singing. Yea, the fir trees
rejoice at thee, and the cedars of Lebanon, saying, Since thou art laid
down, no feller is come up against us. Hell from beneath is moved for thee
to meet thee at thy coming: it stirreth up the dead for thee, even all the
chief ones of the earth; it hath raised up from their thrones all the kings
of the nations. All they shall speak and say unto thee, Art thou also become
weak as we? art thou become like unto us? Thy pomp is brought down to the
grave, and the noise of thy viols: the worm is spread under thee, and the
worms cover thee. How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son
of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken
the nations! For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into
heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon
the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend
above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. Yet thou
shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit. They that see thee
shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man
that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms; That made the world
as a wilderness, and destroyed the cities thereof; that opened not the house
of his prisoners? All the kings of the nations, even all of them, lie in
glory, every one in his own house. But thou art cast out of thy grave like
an abominable branch, and as the raiment of those that are slain, thrust
through with a sword, that go down to the stones of the pit; as a carcase
trodden under feet. Thou shalt not be joined with them in burial, because
thou hast destroyed thy land, and slain thy people: the seed of evildoers
shall never be renowned."
Satan's Rebuke And The
Prophecy of Jesus
Zechariah 3.1-10
"And he shewed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel
of the Lord, and Satan standing at his right hand to resist him. And the
Lord said unto Satan, The Lord rebuke thee, O Satan; even the Lord that
hath chosen Jerusalem rebuke thee: is not this a brand plucked out of the
fire? Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and stood before the
angel. And he answered and spake unto those that stood before him, saying,
Take away the filthy garments from him. And unto him he said, Behold, I
have caused thine iniquity to pass from thee, and I will clothe thee with
change of raiment. And I said, Let them set a fair mitre upon his head.
So they set a fair mitre upon his head, and clothed him with garments. And
the angel of the Lord stood by. And the angel of the Lord protested unto
Joshua, saying, Thus saith the Lord of hosts; If thou wilt walk in my ways,
and if thou wilt keep my charge, then thou shalt also judge my house, and
shalt also keep my courts, and I will give thee places to walk among these
that stand by. Hear now, O Joshua the high priest, thou, and thy fellows
that sit before thee: for they are men wondered at: for, behold, I will
bring forth my servant the BRANCH. For behold the stone that I have laid
before Joshua; upon one stone shall be seven eyes: behold, I will engrave
the graving thereof, saith the Lord of hosts, and I will remove the iniquity
of that land in one day. In that day, saith the Lord of hosts, shall ye
call every man his neighbour under the vine and under the fig tree."
Satan Cast Out Of Heaven
Revelation 12.3-9
"And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red
dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.
And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them
to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be
delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born. And she brought
forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her
child was caught up unto God, and to his throne. And the woman fled into
the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should
feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days. And there was
war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the
dragon fought and his angels, And prevailed not; neither was their place
found any more in heaven. And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent,
called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast
out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him."
Satan's Attempt To Overthrow Jesus
Matthew 4.3-10
"And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of
God, command that these stones be made bread. But he answered and said,
It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that
proceedeth out of the mouth of God. Then the devil taketh him up into the
holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple, And saith unto him,
If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall
give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear
thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone. Jesus said
unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God. Again,
the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him
all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; And saith unto him,
All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.
Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou
shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve."
Satan's Attempts To Overthrow Christians
1 Peter 5.8-11
"Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring
lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist stedfast in
the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren
that are in the world. But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto
his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while,
make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. To him be glory and
dominion for ever and ever. Amen."
Satan's Part In Christ's Crucifiction
John 14.28-31
"Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto
you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father:
for my Father is greater than I. And now I have told you before it come
to pass, that, when it is come to pass, ye might believe. Hereafter I will
not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing
in me. But that the world may know that I love the Father; and as the Father
gave me commandment, even so I do. Arise, let us go hence."
Satan's Efforts During The
Great Tribulation
Revelation 13.4-9
"And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and
they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able
to make war with him? And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great
things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and
two months. And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme
his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven. And it was
given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power
was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations. And all that
dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the
book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. If any
man have an ear, let him hear."

Satan's Ways
John 8.44-47
"Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye
will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth,
because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of
his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. And because I tell you
the truth, ye believe me not. Which of you convinceth me of sin? And if
I say the truth, why do ye not believe me? He that is of God heareth God's
words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God."
Believers Are Not To Bond
With Unconverted People

2 Corinthians 6.14-18
"Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship
hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with
darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he
that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God
with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I
will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they
shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate,
saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,
And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith
the Lord Almighty." |
