Satan The Nominal Ruler Of Earth

One thing that pro activist, "March For Jesus" Christians fail to realize is that Satan is legally the Federal Head of this world. Satan will not lose this authority until after Jesus returns to cast that old Devil in the Pit for a thousand years (Revelation 20.2-3).

Satan owns the materiel possessions of the earth created by his children. This was revealed during the Temptation of Jesus in the wilderness (Matthew 4.1-11). In the course of the temptation Satan claimed possession over all the kingdoms of this world:
 
 

Matthew 4:8-9 "Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;  And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me."
 
 
Satan offered to give these kingdoms to Jesus if Jesus would worship him. Rather than correct Satan ("You don't own these things, but God does!"), Jesus by his silence acknowledged that Satan did, indeed, own these things. Jesus rebuked Satan for asking Him to worship anyone other than God, but never indicated that his statement of ownership was incorrect.

Satan owns all those who are yet in an unsaved state. The unsaved are recognized as his Children, not God's children:
 
 

1 John 3:8-10 "He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother. "

Matthew 13:38-42 "The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one; The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.  As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.   The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;  And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth."
 
 
Those who are still in Satan's grasp are known as his slaves or servants. Satan also has several titles that show he currently has Federal Headship over the earth. He is known as the god of this world:
 
 
2 Corinthians 4:3-4 "But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:  In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them."
 
And is also known as the prince of this world:
 
 
John 12:31-32 "Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out.  And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me."

John 14:30  "Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me."

John 16:11  "Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged."
