Adobe
Publications with this designation utilize Adobe PDF technology which is great for viewing documents in their original format online. This technology requires a plug-in called the Adobe Acrobat Reader (which interprets the PDF file format). It may already be on your computer, but if not you may download it for free from their web site.

Word or "Zipped"?
Some publications on this site may be "zipped" or compressed, or may be in Microsoft© Word formats. Publications with these markings must first be downloaded to your computer before you view them.

recommended virus protection & firewalls

If you are online, you need virus protection. I highly recommend AVG by Grisoft Corporation. AVG is offered in both freeware as well as professional versions. You have absolutely no excuse (other than laziness) for not protecting your system with AVG.

If you are online, you also need a "firewall". A firewall stands between you and your internet connection, preventing hackers from spying on or invading your system. I highly recommend either Zone Alarm or Sygate (click logo at left). If you don't run one of these utilities and order things online, you might as well just post your credit card number for all to see - because a hacker is seeing it, anyway!!

Bible study software
The Sword Project (click logo at left) is an "Open Source" programming effort by Christians from all denominations. The program loads quickly, and has over 100 plug in additions (commentaries, lexicons, dictionaries, versions, etc) that can be downloaded and installed ... all for free. What a blessing!

The Online Bible is as versatile as a Swiss Army Knife ©. With the ability to search the morphology of the original Biblical text, the preacher has absolutely no excuse for a poor sermon!
Rick's freeware E-Sword (click logo at left) is the easiest to use, yet most useful Bible software I've found yet. Very similar to the Sword Project.

Theophilos Bible Software

Theophilos is an outstanding freeware Bible software program. You'd better go get this wonderful program, truly a Gift from God.
utilities pastor David uses
NoteTab Lite is one of the best freeware Notepad replacements and HTML editors I have ever used. (click logo at left)
If you've priced Microsoft's© products, you know that the only judgment you can make on this company and its founder is that they are exceedingly greedy. The solution I and others have chosen is to move away from Microsoft©, and move toward free, open source products like "Open Office". Open Office (click logo at left), which replaces Microsoft's© Power Point™, Word™, Accel™, Access™, and Draw™ utilities, is free - much more stable - and backed by Sun. Let's let Bill and company have a breather to go count the god of mammon - support Open Office!
Irfanview (click logo at left) is the best freeware graphics viewer and manipulator I have ever seen. Extremely easy to use, built in special effects, tons of graphic filters - and all free for non-commercial use. God bless you, Irfan!
